As a complete change to our previous cards, I decided to set Wessex Institute’s 2015 Christmas card in the near future. The location is the cupola of the International Space Station, which I scaled up to allow for several people in the scene.

The astronauts are wearing a bee keeper’s costume with a motor cycle crash helmet enlarged (in Photoshop) to fit a collar I had made of foam board and card.

The day I sent this card to press, it was announced the British astronaut, Major Tim Peake, would be travelling to the Space Station and spending his Christmas there. Our Christmas card became topical.
